In Loving Memory
On November 15, 2018, a loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away suddenly at the age of 88. Sid was a family man who will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Mary “Addie” (née Lapointe) and his children, Brian (Shelley) and Shelly Adams (Bob). Proud grandfather of Megan, Dana, Kelsey, and Courtney. Predeceased by parents Thomas Male and Violet (née Tucker).
Born in Ottawa, Sid served the Ottawa Fire Department as a firefighter for 37 years. A lover of the outdoors, you could find him travelling to Florida many winters and spending time at the family cottage during summers, especially during his 28 years of retirement. He was a fantastic cook who often prepared meals for his fellow firefighters and passed down his time-tested recipes to his children. on Thursday, November 22nd from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A funeral service in his honour will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, November 23rd at 10:30 am. In Memoriam donations to the Ottawa Firefighters Community Foundation appreciated by the family.
