Cleversey, Shirley Virginia – age 83, West Lahave, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in South Shore Regional Hospital. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Foster and Susie (Smith) Corkum. Surviving are her husband, Douglas; children, Karen (Brian), Hebbs Cross, Connie and Graham at home; Ron (Wendy), Mount Pleasant; two grandchildren, Julie and Devon. She is also survived by sisters, Margie (Douglas) Crouse, Hebbville and Ruth Wile, Auburndale. Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by sisters, Muriel Minnick, Annie Connolly, Minnie Hirtle; brother Ralph and two siblings in infancy. She was also pre-deceased by brothers-in-law, Garfield, Kelly Slauenwhite, Marshall, Cyril and Carmen Connolly. Special thanks to the home care workers, V.O.N., David Edmonds, Rev. Oliver Osmond, Angie Conrad, Rosalind Perrette and anyone else we might have forgotten. No memorial service by request. A graveside service at St. Peter’s Cemetery will be held at a later date.
