Obituary of Shirley Ross
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the age of 91. She is now reunited with her beloved husband George. Loving mother of Rosemarie Scott (Curt), Maurie Twerdoclib (Terry), Brian Ross (Heidi), Lisa Rietveld (Tim) and late step-son Geordie Ross (late Caroline). Adored Grandmother of Preston, Andrew, Summer and Taryn and Great Grandmother to Paisley, Sawyer and Ostara. Predeaceased by her parents Grace and Stanley Sanderson. Dear sister of the late Evelyn Ireland. Special Aunt to the late Bob Ireland, late Randy Ireland, Ryan Ireland and Lynn Harasim. Dear friend to the late Frank Neilson. A private family service was held. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Special thank you to the the Sault Area Hospital Staff for the care and compassion shown to Shirley and our family. Heart felt condolences to all family members on the passing of Shirley Ross.
Perhaps we should celebrate a life well lived. Miss Shirley has raised four children who, along with their own families, have become wonderful people. Her eldest daughter, Rosemarie, has been my best friend for more years than either of us care to count. This is Shirley Ross’s special gift to me.
Rest in peace Miss Shirley. You are missed, and will be forever loved.
