1935-2018
The death of
Shirley McGillicuddy of Saint John, beloved wife of the late Francis
“Buddy” McGillicuddy occurred on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at
the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 16, 1935 in
Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Eileen
(Mowbray) Creamer.
Shirley
dedicated her life to caring for the needs of those she
loved. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted
wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.
Her quick wit and easy manner will be greatly
missed.
Shirley is
survived by and will be lovingly missed by her daughters, Susan
McGraw, Mary-Jane McGovern (Keith) and Kara Leger (Matt) all of Saint
John; daughter-in-law, Jill McGillicuddy of Nova Scotia; precious
grandchildren, Brittany, Maggie, Molly, Ryan, Sara and Aron; brother,
Allan Creamer of Saint John; sister, Marie Kelley (Peter) of Saint
John; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her
parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her son, John;
son-in-law, Mike McGraw and sister, Joan McTague.
Arrangements
are under the care and direction of Brenan’s
Bay View Funeral Home,
1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on
Monday, May 21, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. The Funeral
Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM from
Brenan’s Bay View Chapel. Interment will take
place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
For those who
wish, remembrances made to Romero House or a charity of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
