Obituary of Sheila MacKenzie
Age 60, of Halifax, passed away on July 7, 2018 at the QEII, V.G. Site. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Audrey (McCrate) and the late Laurie MacKenzie.
She was an avid reader, she loved Mrs. Brown’s Boys & the stories of Stuart McLean. She had a passion for travelling and loved to share stories about where she’d been, what she’d done and where she dreamed of going in the future. She is survived by husband, Alley Naugle; her children, Laurie, Alberta; Audrey (Chris), Halifax; brothers; Robert (Gwen), Upper Tantallon; Barry, Grand Forks, BC.; Richard (Jackie) Maitland; three grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew; special friends, Paula, Lana, Shirley & her three cats (Baby, Crispy & Bean). She was predeceased by a son, Alley Jr. She loved with her whole heart, and wasn’t afraid to let people know when they upset her (that’s nice was her common phrase). She could always be counted on for her honesty and believed her way was the right way. She had a weird sense of humor & loved playing jokes on people.
Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd., where visitation will take place on Tuesday July 17 from 7-9p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday August 13 at 1p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Interment to take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Hope for Wildlife, SPCA or Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
