Sandra ‘Sandy’ Colleen Fry
Sandra (Sandy) Colleen Fry (nee MacPhail) born March 19, 1958 in Vancouver, BC passed away on June 27, 2018 in Ottawa after a long journey with cancer. She is survived by her husband Eric, her daughters Jackie and Kelly, as well as her father Al MacPhail, sister Shannon (Wayne) Focht, brothers Chris (Alannah) MacPhail and Colin (Sue) MacPhail, and loved by all of her in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family. Sandy was a dedicated public servant, fiercely passionate about her work and her ability to make a difference. Her enthusiasm for life was infectious and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 6 at 2pm at Barrhaven United Church. In lieu of flowers the family would encourage donations to Hospice Care Ottawa and the Barrhaven Food Cupboard in Sandy’s memory.
