Ruth Marion Farrenden
March 13, 1929 – June 28, 2018
Peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday, June 28, 2018. Ruth Farrenden in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Gord (2015). Dear Mother of Connie (John Alexander) of Hagersville, Diane (Rod Sturrock) of Stoney Creek, Ruth Huckson of Hamilton and Janet (Todd Easton) of Cayuga. Grandmother of David and Tammy Alexander, Amanda and Dave Kurtz, Matthew and Kelly Sturrock, Curtis and Roslyn Sturrock, Cassie and Richard Howard, Daryl Huckson, Lindsey Huckson and Damien, Todd Easton and Summer, Farren Easton and Devin, and Dalton Easton. Great-grandmother of Dakota, Jeremy and Kady Alexander, Elliott and Kaylee Howard, Parker and Dominic Easton and Ellie Earl. Dear sister of Eva Rees (the late Vic), dear sister-in-law of the late Eleanor and Hugh Lennox, also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thank you to all neighbours on her street who looked out for her in the past years, especially Jo Ann and Betty Paul. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. Private family interment at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.
