Ruth Lloyd (McCallum)
Ruth Ellen Lloyd (McCallum) – Our mother passed away peacefully, Monday, September 24th, 2018 in Magnolia Continuing Care, Enfield with her three daughters at her side. Born on January 15, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Florence (O’Brien) McCallum.
Mom had eight children that kept her busy. Bill (Roz), Nancy (Sonny), Gail (Allison), Bruce (Barbie), Paul (deceased) and Mandy; six grandchildren, Brandi, Max, Derrick, Jon, Tracey, Jeron; three great grandchildren, Jessica, Lily and Michael. She is survived by sister, Eunice; brother, Rufus (Jean); predeceased by husband, Leslie; sisters, Ivy (Ira), Evelyn, Pansy (Charlie), Adeline; brothers, Dick (Olive), Neil (Gladys), Alfred (Verda).
Mom had a busy life with her eight children. She was a hard worker, beautiful cook, seamstress and crafter.
She loved having all of the family around especially on special holidays when everyone was present for good conversation, laughter and good food. She worked as a cashier, seamstress, waitress and a cook.

We would like to that the staff of the Magnolia who took such great care of our mom during her stay there and were so wonderful to us at this sad time. Everyone was like a ray of sunshine.
All are welcome to come and celebrate our Mom’s life on Sunday, September 30 from 2-4pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Interment in Bible Hill Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Recreation Dept. of the Magnolia or to Diabetes Canada. Online condolences at: www.ColchesterCommunity.com
