Ruth Elizabeth Steeves (nee Stevens)
1928-2018
Peacefully on Saturday October 27th 2018 at the age of 90.
Beloved wife of the late Murray Steeves for 43 years.
Loving mother of Christine Klassen (Clarence) and Terry
(Colleen). Proud grandmother of Scott (Rachel), Sarah, Geoffrey and
Andrea. Ruth will be remembered by her sister Muriel (Cyril) and
sisters in law Ruth Steeves and Mildred Smith. Predeceased by her
parents Edgar and Sarah Stevens and by siblings Elmer (Doris), Dick
(Audrey), Alice (Jack), Verna (Joe), Wallace (Irene), Thad (Evelyn)
and Catherine. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Born in Moncton New Brunswick, Ruth was a graduate of Acadia
University and worked for many years as a dietician at the Moncton
Hospital. She was a member of the Highfield St. Baptist Church in
Moncton and attended Murray St. Baptist Church since moving to
Peterborough. Ruth’s funeral service was held at the
Highland Park Chapel in Peterborough, ON
Relatives and friends are invited to the graveside service at
Gray’s Island Cemetery, Hillsborough on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at
1:00pm with Rev. Greg Sparkes officiating
