Ruby Iona Titus
TITUS Ruby Iona, – Age 100, passed away peacefully with her family by her side in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on July 23, 2018. Born in Clarks Harbour on the December 13, 1917 she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Eunice (Atwood) Swim. She is survived by her sons, Richard (Linda)Thompson, Port Maitland; Gerald (Rose Marie) Thompson, Woodvale; sister, Maureen (Finley) Penney, Halifax; eight grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Malcolm “Mac” Thompson and second husband W. Arthur Titus; son, R. Wayne Thompson; grandson, Mark A. Thompson. She was a member of the Bay View Baptist Church in Port Maitland and member of the Rebekah Lodge #8 Port Maitland. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 P.M. on Saturday, July 28th, 2018. A funeral service will follow visitation at 2 P.M. with Rev. Joyce Trask officiating, all in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Port Maitland/Beaver River Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Port Maitland/Beaver River Cemetery or Bay View Baptist Church in Port Maitland.
