Obituary of Roy Laidlaw
Laidlaw, Roy Giffen – Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the Georgetown Hospital in his 85th year.
Roy is the beloved husband of Lenore (nee Dobson) for 66 years, the loving father of Cliff (Debbie), Julie (Andy), Lynn (Steve) and Grant (Debbie), cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren, and great-grandfather of 7, dear brother of Ralph (Glenda) and the late Lloyd (Ella, sister-in-law Mary).
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Fredric Grainger, Dr. Brian Best and Dr. Paul Joza who gave Roy excellent care over many years and the Mountainview Residence nurses and staff for the excellent care and compassion.
The Laidlaw family will receive friends and family to celebrate Roy’s life at J.S. Jones and Sons Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Sunday, April 15th from 2-4 and 7-9. A private family burial at Hillcrest Cemetery Monday morning followed by a service and reception at Jones starting at 2 PM.
