Obituary for Rosaria Marrazzo “Cuglietta”
With heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Nonna, Rosaria (Rosie) “Cuglietta” Marrazzo, at age 85 years on December 24, 2018.
Rosie will be dearly missed by the loves of her life, her grandsons, Michael, Matthew and Marcus; and daughter, Maria. Rosie’s step-daughters, Rita and Carmela (Nick); and their children, Jerry, Nicholas, Lisa, Christine, John, Julie, Robert and John; along with many loving nieces, nephews, nurses, family and friends. Rosie leaves behind her sister, Angela, and her brother, Orlando (Angela) both of Edmonton. Predeceased by her parents, Luigi and Anna; her siblings, Giovanni, Maria and Giuseppe.
We thank family and friends for their constant love and support, especially since Rosie’s stroke in 2013. We also whole heartedly thank Rosie’s nurses for providing Rosie with exceptional care, guidance with compassion, and for allowing Rosie to maintain her dignity. Special thanks to Dr Janice Richman-Eisenstat, Dr. Debra Semeniuk, and Dr. Justin Sebastian for being remarkable doctors and amazing human beings, and equally the North East Home Care Professional team,
Prayer Service Friday, December 28 at 8:00 p.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue.
Funeral Mass Saturday, December 29 at 9:30 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church. Reverend George Puramadathil CFIC officiating with entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum. If desired; in lieu of flowers, donations to the Stollery Children’s Hospital will (would) be kindly appreciated.
