OBITUARY
Rosaire (Rosie) Joseph Lesieur
March 3, 1934 – September 12, 2018
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Rosaire (Rosie) Lesieur on Wednesday September 12th 2018 in Port Alberni.
Rosie was predeceased by his loving parents, one sister and two brothers and stepson Rory Wright.
He will be dearly missed and remain in the hearts of his beloved wife Pat, his children Susan (Gary), Philip (Joanne) Victor (Doris) his sister Monica and stepsons Darren, Timothy and Troy (Pam). He was also an amazing and loving Papa to a lovely abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Rosie’s love of sports was a consistent throughout his life, known as one of the greatest back-catchers around. Rosie’s years of playing ball were some of his best memories. Rosie’s love of fishing and hunting filled his life as an outdoorsman. His love of all animals was widely known; he loved his birds, raccoons and squirrels; and his connection with dogs was a sight to see. Rosie had a great sense of humor and quick wit; his laughter will always warm our hearts.
Rosie’s arms and hands caught the fastest baseballs; stroked birds that were broken until they could fly again; but most importantly were used to hug his loving family.
He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 – 5:00pm, Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Best Western Barclay Hotel, 4277 Stamp Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosie’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Vancouver Island Region, Main 101 – 1537 Hillside Avenue, Victoria, BC V8T 2C1.
