Obituary for Ron Strangway
At home in Oil Springs, surrounded by family on Monday, December 17, 2018, Ronald David Strangway passed away at the age of 71. Beloved husband to Bonnie (nee Mitchell). Loving father to Mathew and his wife Nicole and Tim and his wife Holly. Proud Papa to Braxton, Reece, Tyson and Mason. Dear brother to Donald Strangway, and brother-in-law to Gerry and Roger Huard, Mary and Don Saunders, Roger and Carol Mitchell, and Eleanor Mitchell,. Predeceased by his parents, Orville and Margaret Strangway, his father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Mildred Mitchell, his sisters Shirley Gibson, Jackie and Isaac Hill, and Mary Margaret and Duncan Wilkinson and his brothers and sister-in-law, Georgine and John Strangway, Wayne Mitchell, and John Mitchell. Ron will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ron worked at Imperial Oil for nearly 40 years and enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. A graveside memorial service will take place on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Oil Springs Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to C.E.E.
