Romez Tahririha
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Romez Tahririha announces his passing on December 17, 2018 after a valiant battle with cancer. Surrounded by his loving family, Romez ascended peacefully to the spiritual world at the young age of 28.
Romez will be lovingly remembered by his spouse, Jennifer Van Brabant; parents, Behrooz and Elaine (Deleff) Tahririha; siblings, Patti and Theo, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
He grew up in St. Albert and attended Bellerose Composite High School, later graduating from NAIT with distinction as a Red Seal Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician.
Two years ago, a wrench was thrown into his meticulously laid plans for his life with Jennifer. He was diagnosed with cancer. Romez fought cancer the way he lived life – with determination, courage and strength – never giving up.
Romez had a gift for bringing and keeping people together. Exuberant and passionate with a huge zest for life, he was always the center of attention, instigating fun, laughter and adventure for all.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Romez’s earthly life will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Home, 16204 Fort Road, NW in Edmonton. Interment will take place on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
at the City of St. Albert Cemetery, Poundmaker Road, St. Albert.
Donations in memory of Romez may be made to the Saving Grace Animal Society.
