Obituary of Robert Tuck
Peacefully at Country Terrace Nursing Home, Komoka on Tuesday May 1st, 2018. Robert Bruce Tuck (Bob) of Komoka in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Yvonne Tuck (nee Hergett). Loving father of Kim (Victor) of Komoka and Robert Tuck Jr. Loving Grampy of Marissa and Kyle. Sadly missed by sister-in-law Elaine (Bill) Hoare and Betty Comeau (predeceased Bill). Also predeceased by sister-inlaw Ardith Whiteway. Survived by her husband Fred. Missed by his special puppy Chiquita. Cremation has taken place.
Bob served his country for 32 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force, retiring as Master Warrant Officer. Throughout his career he received numerous awards and honours. He travelled to almost every country in the world and was stationed both in Canada and overseas. Bob was an avid scuba diver both for work and pleasure. He flew many dignitaries including the Royal Family, Prime Ministers and the Governor General. Upon retiring he enjoyed camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at the Lambeth Legion Branch 501 (7097 Kilbourne Rd) on Sunday June 10th from 1:00 to 4:00pm. This would have been Bob’s 80th birthday. Since Bob was a Toronto BlueJays fan we will have the game on and ask that you wear your BlueJays apparel if you have any. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to further his granddaughter Marissa’s post-secondary education and dance training. Donations can be made online at gf.me/u/idq29z or in person at Bob’s Celebration of Life.
