Robert Grant Bennett
Bennett, Robert “Grant”, age 89 of Red Deer, AB passed away peacefully September 17, 2018 at the Olds Hospital and Care Facility. Robert was born and raised in Mirror, AB. He worked with CN Rails with his Father Robert for years as a young adult. Later Robert moved to Red Deer, AB where he worked as a steam engineer at Alpha Milk. Robert enjoyed the outdoors, including numerous camping and fishing trips around Alberta. Robert’s favourite camp and fishing site was the Narrows at Buffalo Lake AB. Robert is predeceased by his Father Robert, Mother Kathleen, his Brothers Claude, Basil, Clifford and his Sisters Dorothy, Evelyn, Minerva and Ruby. Robert will be greatly missed by his family, including his Spouse Catherine, his Children Bob, Sherry, Debbie, Grant, Joan, Murray, Christina, Anita, Shannon and Ryan, as well as many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held graveside, at the Mirror Cemetery on Wednesday, September 26th at 1pm. A reception will follow at the Mirror Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Olds Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements made by Eventide Funeral Home.
