OBITUARY
Robert Francis Luxton
October 24, 1936 – December 28, 2018
LUXTON, Bob – Passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Friday December 28th, 2018 at the age of 82.
Born October 24th, 1936 to Ambrose and Leticia. He leaves behind his children Debra Quick (Dave) and Dianne Childs (Gord), late Dave, late Donna (Mike) and the late Robert. Grandfather of Natasha Quick (Steve), Dan, Josh, Tim (Nicole), Shannon Childs (Kyle), Renata Luxton (Shane), Stephanie Tanninen (Kurt), Tabitha (Andy), Christopher Corbett, late Samantha Quick and late Emily Quick. Bob will also be missed by his eight great grandchildren. Brother of Bill (late Anne), Jim (late Lila), Peter (Lucy), Gerry and predeceased by Pat Wilson, Ted and Dick. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Bob worked at Algoma Steel for 37 years as a Blacksmith. Bobʼs favourite place to be was his camp, he enjoyed running a chainsaw, cutting wood and repairing the bridge. He had a hard time passing a tree without wanting to size it up for firewood or another log for the bridge. Bob will be remembered for his sense of humour, quick wit and his ability to tell a story. As per Bobʼs wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services. A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
