Richard R. Friesen
After a lengthy illness Richard Friesen passed away at age of 67 years, on Monday December 17, 2018 at the Poseidon Care Centre.
He was predeceased by his parents; John and Tillie Friesen.
Richard leaves to cherish his many memories, his loving wife of 25 years; Elizabeth, daughter Sarah, son David, his sisters Laura, Val, brother Garry, nephews Chris, Peter, Jeff and niece Eve. As well as many extend family and friends.
Richard worked at Kitchen Craft for 12 years, and prior to his illness he was an active member of the Cornerstone Church.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at the Poseidon Care Centre, St Boniface Hospital and Seven Oaks Hospital for the care and compassion shown during his stays.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation of Canada, in Richard’s memory.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 24, 2018 with viewing 1 hour prior to the service, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Winnipeg, Manitoba with cremation to follow.
