Rhyss David Thomas Glenfield, age 19, was suddenly called home to be with Jesus on November 14, 2018. Rhyss was the beloved son of Andrew and Lynette (Craddock) Glenfield and loving brother of Caleigh and Kian. Grandson of Basil and Nellie Craddock. Special nephew of Yvonne Cyr, David Craddock (Karen) John Craddock (Jude) and Scott Glenfield. Predeceased by grandparents George and Betty Glenfield and by uncles Alastair Glenfield and Philip Craddock. He will be missed by many cousins and friends.
Rhyss was currently enrolled in his first year of the Gaming Design and Development program, at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa. As a graduate of Stratford Central Secondary School, Rhyss made an impact wherever he went. His teachers and classmates continue to share their memories of Rhyss, as he was the Music Council Co-president and proudly played an array of instruments in the school band.
Rhyss was an active member of Life Church, Stratford, where he was the drummer on the worship band. In 2017, Rhyss went on a life-changing mission trip to Ghana, where he continued to impact numerous lives around him, emulating the heart of Jesus.
If you knew Rhyss, you knew he was an avid fan of all things anime, coffee, hoodies and stirring the pot – whether that was in the kitchen OR in conversation #RhyssRants.
Visitation will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, November 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Jubilee Christian Fellowship, 707 Downie Street Stratford on Friday, November 23, at 1 p.m. Pastor Joel French will officiate. We encourage all friends and family to wear their favourite hoodie, in honour of Rhyss.
