Reverend Edmund Robert “Ed”
Morrison – 74,
Brookfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at
Vimy Court, Bible Hill. Born in Toronto, he was a son of the late
Edmund and Grace (Rolfe) Morrison.
Ed studied ministry at Eastern Pentecostal Bible College,
where he met his wife, and was ordained in 1973. After ordination, he
served as Pastor in churches in Ontario and Quebec. He later worked as
a bus driver with Brampton City Bus and then at Niagara Air Bus
(Safety and Training) from where he retired in 2010. He was a member
of Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and Truro Heights United Baptist
Church. He also enjoyed watching Christmas movies and playing with
electronics.
Ed is survived by his wife, Carol (Sandeson); children, Keith
(Sherry) Morrison, Truro; Joy Henry (Donald Wright), Cornwallis;
Kimberly Ann (Jason) Standiford, West Virginia; grandchildren, Lee
Morrison, Todd Morrison, Venessa Henry, Natasha Henry, Matthew Henry,
Donaldroy Wright, Brooklynn Wright, Katelyn Standiford, Grace
Standiford; sisters, Catherine (Travis) Iwamoto, Caledon, Ontario;
Tammy Morrison, Yukon, Northwest Territories; brothers, Brian (Gloria)
Morrison, Niagara Falls, Ontario; Joseph (Michelle) Morrison, London,
Ontario; many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks are extended to Vimy Court for their care and
compassion and Adult Protection Services for their efforts and
help.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Ed’s
family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 28,
2018. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, November 29,
2018, at Truro Heights United Baptist Church, 343 Truro Heights Road,
Truro Heights, Reverend Connie Stewart officiating. Reception will
follow. Spring interment in Truro Heights United Baptist Church
Cemetery. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations in
Ed’s memory to Truro Homeless Outreach Society or TREY Nova
Scotia (Trauma Recovery for Exploited Youth) are welcomed. Private
