Raymond Greenwood
Raymond Edwards Greenwood, of Ellerslie, Prince Edward Island, died suddenly at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PEI, on October 3, 2018, at the age of 88. Raymond was born June 12, 1930, to William and Eva (Edwards) at the family home in East Luther Township, Ontario.
Cherished father of Cheryl Anne (Mike) of Wawa, and Ken of Ellerslie, PEI, Raymond is survived by sisters Violet Driscoll, Olive Purdy, and Bernice Glowe of Toronto, and brother Robert (Joan) of Fergus as well as nephews and neices. Raymond was predeceased by his loving wife Anna Mae (Carlaw) of 48 years, parents, brothers Tom and Elmer of Fergus, and brothers-in-law Phil Driscoll, Jeff Purdy, and John Glowe of Toronto.
Following a private funeral held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, PEI, Raymond will be transported home to rest at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home. On Friday, October 12, 2018 visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m., at the Alma Bible Church followed by a private family celebration of life at 11:30 a.m. Raymond will be buried beside his beloved wife Anna Mae in Elora Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon Bible Society, Alma Bible Church, or Wawa Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
