Rayanne Christine Dietrich
October 19, 1966 – December 29, 2018
Rayanne Christine Dietrich, age 52, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at McMaster in Hamilton, following a long, courageous battle against a brain tumor.
She was born on October 19, 1966, in Kitchener to Carl (deceased) and Alice (Baechler) Dietrich. She married Jamie McCarl on September 20, 2008. Prior to her illness, she worked as an accountant. Rayanne lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, shopping, gardening, and loving her many cats. Rayanne is survived by her husband Jamie; her stepchildren Matthew and Mallory, and granddaughter McKenzie; her brother Robert Dietrich (partner Jackie), and sister Rosemarie Ganassin (husband Jack); nieces Jessica and Jillian Dietrich and Katie Ganassin; nephews Eric and Mark Ganassin (partner Lisa Barrett and children), John and Joshua Dietrich, and goddaughter Myranda Loker. Family, friends, and others whose lives Rayanne touched are invited to a visitation at Barthel Funeral Home (566 Queenston Road, Cambridge) on Thursday, January 3rd from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by a reception at 205 Eagle St. North, Cambridge (Social Room) to reminisce, grieve, support each other, and chat. Please wear bright colours in honour of Rayanne’s spirit. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada are welcome.
