RAY JAMES REEVE
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ray James Reeve on June 5, 2018, at the Victoria Hospital, after a lengthy battle of C.O.P.D, at the age of 86 years. He is now pain free and at peace.
Ray was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Eva. He spent his early years in Fort Rouge. He later married his devoted wife, Nancy, in 1961, and moved to St. Boniface and then to Southdale for the remaining 46 years.
Ray started work at North Star Oil in 1953 as a fuel truck driver. He continued to haul fuel for Shell Oil until his retirement in 1989, with an accident free driving record. In 1939, the Reeve’s started a cottage at Ponemah, which they continue to use today. In his leisure time he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and travelling with family and friends.
We would like to thank Dr. Louis Smith, Dr. David Hochman for an extra six years, Dr. Vincent Tarasha, for the last year. His helpful Godsend, Darlene, don’t know what he would have done without her. She’s an angel of help, thank you.
He leaves behind his wife of nearly 57 years, his only daughter, Sharron Parasiuk, husband Ken, fur companion, Brandy and grand dogs Hershey and Emma.
In Ray’s memory, if you wish to make a donation to St. Boniface Hospital or to a charity of your choice.
As per Ray’s wishes, immediate cremation has taken place, there will be no funeral service.
