Obituary of Ralph Schaeffer
SCHAEFFER – Ralph Edward: Passed away into the Presence of his Lord at the Norfolk General Hospital on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in his 90th year. Son of the Late Walter and Caroline Schaeffer. Much beloved husband of Doreen (nee: Dettman) for over 65 years. Loving father of Paul (Laurie) and Scott (Debbie). Cherished grandfather of Julia Matthews (Trevor), Erin Jacobs (Paul), Caroline Jager (Jonathon), Carrie Stewart (Brad Suchucki) and great-grandfather of William, Clare, Lillianna, Edward, Kaitlyn, Grace and Max. Also surviving are his brother-in-laws Ken Dettman, Leroy Dettman and many precious nieces and nephews. Ralph was predeceased by his brothers Gerald (Marie), Earl (Anita), brother and sister-in-laws Edna Miller (Herb), Doris Wagner (Harvey), Evelyn Dettman and Bonnie Dettman. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from ST. PETER’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 155 Colborne St. N., Simcoe. Pastor Dan Abraham officiating followed by interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
