Phyllis’ Obituary
Beloved mother and grandmother, Phyllis Bernice Brake (nee Noseworthy) passed peacefully away Sunday, April 8, 2018 in the presence of her family. Leaving to celebrate her life are her children: Tony (Mary), Sherry (Craven), Shelly (Brian), Sandy with whom she resided and Vicki (Rob). Her ten grandchildren: Toni, Andrew, Matthew, Miranda, Josh, Patrick, Hailey, Sarah, Jacob and Julia. One great granddaughter Kennedy; Sister: Florence (Bob) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Fraser; brothers: Norman, Harold and James; sisters: Audrey and Marie; parents Arch and Florence Noseworthy. The family wishes to thank the Western Memorial Regional Hospital nurses, doctors and staff; her caregivers: Robin Stuckey and Kelly Barry; and Community Health. At Phyllis’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from the hours of 2-4pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11 am from Humber United Church on Clarence St. with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Burnt and Crippled Children.
