Obituary of Peter Pone
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Peter Pone announce his passing on November 25th at his residence in North West River at the age of 44 years. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Trish; children Emily, Athan; god-children: Mantushiss, William, Jenica, Kaianuet, Kiera; parents: Etien and Janet Pone; brothers and sisters; Douglas (Roxanne) Ashini, Paul (Pauline) Pone, Elizabeth (Sylvester) Antuan, Mary Martha Pone, Stephanie Pone, Dean Rich, Tshakapesh Ashini as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents Penole and Mary Martha Ashini and Mathias and Ketonia Pone. Visitation at the Salvation Army Church, Happy Valley- Goose Bay, Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 P.M. Also, Friday, November 30, 2018 at parents’ residence in Sheshatshiu. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at the Sheshatshiu Innu School Gym with Reverend Paulose Kannampilly officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Special thanks to Chief Eugene Hart and Council, Innu Nation and to everyone who has helped us through this difficult time.
