Penneth “Penny” Olive McArdle
McArdle, Penneth “Penny” Olive age 64 of East Lawrencetown, NS, passed away Wednesday December 19, 2018 in the VG Site QEII Hospital in Halifax.
She was a daughter of the late Phyllis and Pat Patterson.
Penny was the most giving, caring, and loving person you could meet and the backbone to the McArdle family, always thinking of others before herself. Her passion was her family and friends, especially her sons, Clifford and Colin for whom she hoped always to have a wonderful life, full of happy memories and experiences. She was spontaneous & life was always an adventure. She lived to travel. Her favourite place was Barbados. Penny had an enthusiastic personality that was contagious to all of those around. She was Christmas crazy, which was a life- long endeavour and profession, starting December 26 through the following year. The home was always a very welcoming place to everyone full of fun and laughter. Penny lived life to the fullest.
Survived by her husband and best friend of 42 years, David; sons, Clifford and daughter- in -law Alysia, Colin; sister, Trudine (Wil); many nieces and nephews and godchildren; and mother-in-law, Shirley.
Visitation will be held Saturday December 22 and Sunday December 23 from 2-4 pm. A Celebration of Penny’s Life will take place Thursday December 27 at 11:00 am with reception to follow at Atlantic Funeral Home Lower Sackville. Burial in Oakridge Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
