Obituary for Mr. Paul Alexander Robins
Passed peacefully at the Roberta Place in Barrie on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the age of 86. Loving husband for 52 years to the late Ruth (nee Haynes). Beloved father of Gayle (Peter) Valiant, Kevin (Rose) Robins, Alison Robins (Wade) and Christopher (Julie) Robins. Proud grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 32. Dear Brother of Frances (the late Bob) Caple, the late Don (Isabelle) and Jim (Mary). Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Paul’s favourite past time was raising dogs, especially old English sheep dogs. Paul brought the first old English sheep dog into Canada and was very proud to hold this title. He was a past president of the Canada Kennel Club and was a 40-year member of the Barrie Rotary Club with perfect attendance. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Homes. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and are greatly appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be forwarded via www.steckleygooderham.com
On December 19 we are sad to say we not only lost our father, we lost our dad.
