Laura Edith Paine (nee Ormiston), of Durham, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton on Friday, June 8th, 2018 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Phillip Paine. Loving mother of Evelyn Black and her husband Ira of Durham and Janet Richardson and her husband Ron of Lion’s Head. Cherished grandmother of Laura Lynn Richardson (Kevin), Lydia Shaw (Philip), Rebecca Jean Paul (Ron), Joel Black and great-grandmother of Nathan Richardson, Elizabeth Richardson, Margaret Shaw, Matthew Jean Paul and Reuben Jean Paul. Predeceased by her sisters Mary Alice Bowden, Jean Abbot and great-granddaughter Hannah Richardson. Laura will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends.
Visitation:
Friends may call at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham, on Monday, June 11th from 7-9 p.m. and at the Durham Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, June 12th from 1-1:45 p.m.
Celebration of Life::
A funeral service celebrating Laura’s life will be held at Durham Presbyterian Church on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Private interment to take place at a later date at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Scarborough.
Donations:
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Gideon Bible Society would be appreciated by the family.
