Ovila “Orval” George Coupal
January 21, 1935 – December 7, 2018
Passed away suddenly at his residence on Friday, December 7, 2018, at the age of 83.
Beloved and loving husband of the late Estelle (née Turcotte) Coupal. Deeply loved father of Michelle Coupal, Danielle and Vince Blair, and Lise-Anne Coupal. Cherished Pépère of Zack Blair, Chloe Blair, Max Vos Coupal, and Tess Blair. Dear brother of Colombe Last. Predeceased by his siblings Jeanne D’Arc Lajeunese, Aurore Prest, Jacqueline Yorke, Therese Lajeunesse, Lorraine Daly, Pierrette Coupal, Claude Coupal, Gerard Coupal, Gerald Coupal, Maurice Coupal, and his grandson, Lucas Blair. Orval did not want a funeral or visitation. He instead wanted family and friends to gather together in celebration of a life well and fully lived. We welcome relatives and close friends to join us in a celebration of this great man’s life at Westmount Golf and Country Club, 50 Inverness Drive, Kitchener on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 1:00-3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John’s Kitchen, where Orval volunteered for years, will be met with gratitude, and may be arranged through Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900).
