Nikola Japuncic passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 91 on December 20, 2018. Nikola is survived by his wife, Kata, of 51 years; three children, Mary (Joe), Tony (Heather) and Anita (Jason); and six grandchildren, Nikolas, Juliana, Kara, Abby, Jake, and Luka. He was predeceased by his brothers, Josip and Ivan, and his mother, Kata.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Sturgeon Community Hospital for their kindness and compassionate care.
Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 St., Edmonton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Nativity of Mary Croatian Catholic Church, 10560 – 98 St., with interment to follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery, 14611 Mark Messier Trail.
