Nancy Murphy
It is with great sadness that the family of Nancy Murphy announces her sudden
passing at Royal Victoria Hospital on Monday December 10, 2018, at the age of
56. Nancy was a registered nurse and worked in the emergency units of Toronto
General and Mount Sinai hospitals. A woman of extraordinary strength and
courage, Nancy persevered through a variety of medical issues later on in her
life with the help of her constant companion, beloved friend, and guide dog
Hattie. Predeceased by her father Patrick, she will be lovingly remembered by
her mother Theresa and her siblings Daniel (the late Kay), Paul, Terence,
Susan, and Sean (Lee-Anne). Nancy will also be fondly remembered by her nieces
and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Nancy’s life will
be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian
Guide Dogs for the Blind would be appreciated.
