MacKINNON, Murdoch Alexander
– Age 70, Nevada Valley, Inverness Co., passed away
peacefully at home on Friday, December 14, 2018. Born on March 9,
1948, Murdoch was the second of four children.
Murdoch often talked of happy and loving memories of his
childhood. Murdoch was retired but had been employed for many years in
the office of Zutphen Contractors, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. Family
and friends were very important to Murdoch and his greatest pride and
joy were his nieces and nephews. We will remember Murdoch for his
kindness, generosity and friendliness.
Murdoch is survived by his sister, Mary Catherine (Wesley)
Gillis; brother-in-law, Corry van den Heuvel; nieces, Sandria (Brad)
van den Heuvel, Krystal (Chase) van den Heuvel; nephew, Alex (Carly)
van den Heuvel; grandnieces, Charley and Taylor; grandnephew, Dagen.
Murdoch was predeceased bi his parents, Alexander and Mary (Haines)
MacKinnon; brother, John; sister, Shirlene van den Heuvel
(MacKinnon).
Murdoch’s family will be receiving visitors in
Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh on Wednesday from 2-8
p.m. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday from Stewart United
Church, Whycocomagh with Rev. Alicia Cox officiating. Burial will
follow in Stewartdale Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to
Stewart United Church or to Stewartdale Cemetery. Words of comfort may
be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
