Peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Queen Elizabeth
Hospital on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 of Morgan McGaughey, RCAF WWII, of
Sherwood formerly of Appin/Green Road in his 96th year.
Beloved husband of 68 years of Sylvia Flood. Cherished father of
Michael (Beth), Marion, Terence (Shirley St. Germain), Sheila (Jim
Coyle), Ellyn (Rolland Young), Colleen (Morrie Jewell) and Shawn (Tara
Noland). Beloved “Poppy” to ten grandchildren; Ashley,
Laurette, Meghan, Nicholas, Matthew, Emily, Timothy, Denise, Caleb,
Hannah and three great-grandchildren; Maeve, Jackson, Mila. Dear
brother of Mary McAllister (Don, deceased) and Julia Mitchell (Gerald,
deceased). Predeceased by his infant son David and parents Pius and
Mary (O’Regan) McGaughey.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Friday at 10:45 a.m. then to
St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment later in
the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visitation Thursday 2-4
and 7-9 p.m.
The Kingston Branch No. 30 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a
Service of Remembrance at the funeral home on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of
PEI or JDRF-Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
