In Loving Memory
Reunited with his wife of 77 years, Anna, who left us July 16, Mike passed away peacefully at the age of 95.
Survived by his children Rocco and Mario (Carol), grandchildren David (Laura), Adria, Amanda, Liisa (Brent), Alex (Victoria), and 5 great-grandchildren Nathan, Brianna, Jackson, Kathryn and Alexandra. Predeceased by daughter in law Vivian.
Born in Monteleone Di Pugla, Italy, Mike came to Canada in 1952 and was joined by his wife and children in 1954. World War 2 veteran, semi-professional gardener, proud Italian and loyal patriarch of the Scarano family.
The family would like to thank caregivers Cleofe and Matilda for their incredible help, Maria Emer for her unconditional support and Dr. Shawn Leung for his compassionate and respectful care of both Mike and Anna in their final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mike may be made to a charity of your choice.
