Passed away surrounded by his family at home on April 22, 2018 at 22:00 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Betty, married for 44 ½ years. Loving father of Beth (Clint) Ross, Julie (Paul Dancose), Joseph, Cristin and Paula. Cherished grandfather of Quinn, Samantha, William, Harvey, Owen, Paige, Bennett, Magda, Evelyn, Ayden, Arielle and Xander. He also leaves 3 brothers, 3 sisters, many in-laws, nephews, nieces and friends. He was predeceased by his brother. The family would like to thank extend a heartfelt thank you to the Palliative care team and Dr. John Kindle for the extraordinary and compassionate care provided. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday April 26, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa (between Savard and Cyr Streets). Funeral Mass will be held on Friday April 27, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Saint Isidore Church, 1135 March Road, Kanata. In Memory of Mike, donations to the Ottawa Cancer Society would be appreciated.
