VANDERMEER, Meino (DeJong)
Peacefully at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital on Thursday July 12th, 2018 the LORD called home Meino VanderMeer in her 90th year. Loved and predeceased by her husband John (2015) and her son Bill (2016). Loving Mother to 8 children, a cherished grandmother of 15, and a treasured great grandmother to 14. Meino was always overjoyed at seeing her great grandchildren. She is also survived by many relatives in The Netherlands. Sincere appreciation and special thanks to her home healthcare workers, as well as her respite workers Jill, Mary and Rosie for their excellent care and compassion. She is also fondly remembered as the flower lady at her seniors day program. We take comfort in knowing that she was strong in her fath and she is at peace with the Lord her Saviour and reunited with her husband in heaven. Friends may visit with the family at the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church (33 King Ave. York, ON), on Saturday July 14th, 2018 from 11a.m. until time of Service at 1 p.m. Interment to follow in St. John’s Cemetery, York. If desired, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to McMaster Children’s Hospital, and would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
