Matilda Tillie Mildred Mitchell 2018

Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory of
On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, our hearts were broken. Tillie Mitchell, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend unexpectedly, yet peacefully left this life at 84 years to join her Lord and Saviour.
Mom was born on February 19, 1934, the third child of six, to Martin and Millie Wagner. She regularly shared fond memories of her childhood with four sisters and one brother on the family homestead near Southey, SK.
As a young adult, she and her sister Doris moved to Regina where she took her office management certificate and later worked at SaskTel until the birth of her daughter.
In 1965, mom married the love of her life, John Mitchell, a handsome Irish lad. A few years later, mom took on the role she excelled at – mother – and gave birth to Lisa, a daughter she was so proud of and cherished. Mom was an amazing, gentle, kind and gracious lady who made a lasting impact on everyone. Her blue eyes twinkled, her smile was infectious and her kindness unending.
Mom was predeceased by her parents Martin and Millie Wagner; nephew Laurel Giebelhaus; brother Harold Wagner; sister Doris and brother-in-law Don Giebelhaus; and sister Helen and brother-in-law Joe Hegglin.
She is survived by her devoted husband John Mitchell (Regina); loving daughter Lisa Mitchell (Regina); sister Marilyn (Walter) Quandt (California); sister Darlene (Warren) Sass (Saskatoon); and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, her fur-baby Bailey; and a “special second daughter” Kim Coleman (Ohio) who is a childhood friend of Lisa.
Mom’s last 15 years have been filled with many health challenges which she faced with deep faith and incredible grace.
Many thanks to Drs. Llewellyn-Williams, Kopriva and Duffy for the care they provided.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 1037 Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada, 917A Albert Street, Regina, SK S4R 2P6 or Grace Lutheran Church would honour Mom.
Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.
