Mary Whelan
Whelan, Mary (nee Duthie) passed away peacefully at the Georgian Bay General Hospital on Tuesday January 2nd, 2018 in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Paul Whelan Sr. Loving mother of Michael (Barb), Larry (Elfie), Terri Barry, Paul Jr., John and predeceased by Elizabeth “Betty”. Grandmother of Tim, Katheryn, Sean, Mitchell, Matthew and Samantha. Great grandmother of Theia. Sister of Patrick (Audrey), Clara Daley (Clarence), Frank (Barb) and predeceased by Billy, George, Alfred, Benedict and Josephine Laliberte. She will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home on Sunday January 7th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Church on Monday January 8th at 1:30 p.m. If desired, donations to Hospice Huronia or St. Ann’s Church Building Fund would be appreciated. A special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at Georgian Bay General Hospital.
