Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory of
The final chapter of the life of Mary Viola (nee Graham) Allen age 101 of Amherst Head has been written. Mollie died peacefully, with her loving children beside her on September 24, 2018 at the Cumberland County Regional Health Centre in Upper Nappan.
Mollie was born in Rolling Dam, New Brunswick, to parents Nelson and Viola Graham. She is pre-deceased by her husband Walton; sisters, Hope, Ida and Pauline; and grandson Allen Greene.
Left to remember are her children; Graham (Pauline), Peter (Carm), Beth Greene (Dan), Heather Allen-Donelle (Richard) and grandchildren Craig, Jesse, Danny, Paul, Derek, Heather, Meredith, Max and Danica and twelve great-grandchildren.
A teacher and mentor, Mollie taught school for 30 years in Hopewell Hill, Dorchester, Moncton, Amherst Head and Warren. She was active in choirs, church, UCW, and community in every place she lived. Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she especially enjoyed reading, gardening, and travel.
Service to be held at the Sunrise Renwick United Church in Amherst Head on Wednesday, September 26 at 2:00 with a reception to follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Cumberland County Hospice Palliative Care Society.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst (902) 667-9906.
