Remembering Mame
On August 9, 2018, at the age of 84, Mame passed away peacefully at the Sturgeon Community Hospital. Mame will be very lovingly remembered by son Gerald O’Hagan (Doreen); daughters Jackie Gannon (Gary), Joreen Steinke (Jacques); grandchildren Scott (Colleen), Kim (Pete), Sean (Cecilia), Erin (Adam), Josie (Keith), Jeff (Jenessa); great-grandchildren, Brooke, Nate, Elliot, Lily, Jennie, Jill, Campbell, Audrey, Rory, Emmett; much-loved nieces, nephews; in-laws; Jim, Donna, Brendan, Katie and many close friends.
Mame loved and embraced her role as Mother, Nana and Aunt. She was always quick with hug and had a crazy sense of humour, but her greatest joy was to be surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her matriarch presence will be missed by our family.
The family is sincerely grateful to the staff of the Sturgeon Community Hospital for their compassionate care of our mom over the last two weeks.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton.
Memorial donations may be made to the John Cameron Changing Lives Foundation, honouring a recently departed loved one, or a charity of your choice.
