Obituary for
Mary Miller
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Mary Lenore Miller (nee Paquette), in her hundredth year.
She is survived by her children, Brian (Sharon), Darlene (Gary), Jack (Elsie), Robert. She also leaves behind 2 grandsons, Jamie (Brenda-Lee), Jonathan; granddaughter Makayla, and great-granddaughter Lauryn. She is also survived by her sister Grace, brother Ted (Irene) as well as 4 sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Other people who were fond of mom include Macey and her sons, Kayson and Noah.
Mom was pre-deceased by her husband Jack, her sisters Marjorie, Dorothy, Norma, Isabel and her brothers Jack, Bruce, Lesley and Bobby.
Mom was born and raised in Selkirk Manitoba until she moved to Winnipeg and met her husband Jack. They married, and mom stayed at home to raise her family. She dedicated her life to her kids and always put their needs before herself. Mom also foster parented many children throughout the years.
Mom’s favourite past time was knitting where she spent countless hours making clothing for her kids, the church, and neighbors. She was an avid bowler and belonged to a league at Mosienko’s. She also enjoyed cheering on her Winnipeg Blue Bombers with her son Jack.
Mom was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church for many years and later on in life she attended St. Luke’s Zion Lutheran Church. Mom also enjoyed attending (when able) the services at Luther Home. Her faith in Jesus Christ is what kept her going all these years.
Thank you to the staff at Luther Home for their care and kindness over the last 4 years.
