OBITUARY
Mary Edna Nelson
12 May , 1929 – 8 May , 2018
In loving memory, the family of Mary Edna Nelson announce her peaceful passing after struggling for many years with Alzheimer’s disease. Mary faced her Alzheimer’s diagnosis in the same way she faced life – with gratitude, humour and a can-do spirit. She is survived by her seven children – Jim, Don (Dianne), Mary Jane, Donna-Mae (Wayne), Michael (Terry), Betty Jean (Warren) and Carol Ann (Bobby), her three siblings – Ede, Mag and Bill and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Nelson, parents – Mary Jane and Edwin McLean, her sisters Ruth, Dot, and Charlotte and her brothers Jim, Junior, and Ian.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the extraordinary staff at Touchmark at Wedgewood and Caleb Manor for their many years of kindness and compassion. In particular we thank the loving companionship of Lydia Mayson in Mom’s last years.
