LINACY – Mary Agnes MacDonald, 81, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Linacy, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 in the Manor.
Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late James Karl Creelman and Laura Mae (Clark) (Creelman) Doyle. Prior to marriage, Mary was employed at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow for four years. Following marriage, she devoted her life to taking care of her family. Mary enjoyed getting together with her friends, visits with her family and fishing.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen (David) Lysak, Buck Creek, Alta.; son, John S. (Susan), New Glasgow; grandson, Cory S.; half-sister, Gwenda (Kelly) MacDonald, Thorburn; nephew, David MacDonald.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John R. “Jack” MacDonald; daughter, Charlotte; step-father, Joe Doyle.
In honour of Mary’s wishes, her body has been donated to Medical Science.
The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 14th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
