Marven Plant
1937-2018
With his family by his side, Marven Plant of Perth-Andover, NB, passed
away peacefully at the Victoria Glen Manor on Saturday, December 15,
2018.
Marven was born in North Tilley, NB, on September 24, 1937. He was the
son of the late Basil and Lillian (Goodine) Plant. Marven leaves
behind his loving wife of 60 years, Doreen Plant (Elliott); his
daughters, Anita Craig (Charles) of Craigs Flat, NB, Marvella Van Watt
(Timothy) of Muniac, NB, Clarenda Price of Fredericton, NB; his son,
Leland Plant of Moncton, NB; his grandchildren, Matthew Craig, Gerrad
Craig, Logan Plant, Brianna Price, and Jamila Plant; his great
granddaughter, Payton-Mattie Craig; his sisters, Juanita Gee of
Perth-Andover, NB, Audrey Crabbe (Victor) of Tilley, NB, Wanda
LaFrance (Eric) of Tilley, NB; his brothers, Bernard Plant (Madeline)
of Aroostook, NB, Weldon Plant (Greta) of Tilley, NB; along with many
nieces and nephews.
Marven was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Milford Plant; his
sisters, Iva Jean Plant, Katrina Robinson, and Maxine Gee.
Marven worked for the Department of Transportation as a snow plow
operator for many years prior to his retirement. He also worked at
farming for several years. Marven enjoyed many outdoor activities,
especially hunting, fishing, and camping. What he truly enjoyed the
most was spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who
knew him.
Resting at Calvary Tabernacle in Perth-Andover, NB, with visitation on
Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on
Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 11 am from Calvary Tabernacle. Rev.
David Ferrell officiating. Interment will be in the Currie Cemetery at
a later date.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the NB Alzheimer’s
Association, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or to a charity of
your choice would be appreciated by the family.
Doreen and her family would like offer their heartfelt gratitude to
the staff of the Victoria Glen Manor for the professionalism and
compassion given to Marven during his stay with them. Also, to family
and friends for their love and prayers for Marven over the years. May
God bless each one of you.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover.
