Obituary for Marjorie Lilian Tarrant
TARRANT, Marjorie Lilian
February 27, 1921 – March 2, 2018
Peacefully, with her family by her side, on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Hilltop Manor, Cambridge in her 98th year. Marjorie was predeceased by her first husband Leslie Thomas (1965). She was the “shining star from heaven” and much loved wife of Douglas Lester for over 35 years. Loving mother of Susan (Ron) Heller, Bob (Marion), Andrew (Carolyn) Tarrant and Keith Tarrant. Proud and loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 8
great-grandchildren. Marjorie served in the British Army during WWII. She was a strong woman, with a kind spirit and a deep love for her family. She also enjoyed gardening, baking, and traveling. Marjorie will be fondly remembered by all her knew her.
The family will receive friends at St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church, 19 St. Alban’s Drive, Acton, on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 10-11 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m.
Internment Fairview Cemetery.
