Marie McRonald, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover Care Centre, Hanover on Thursday, June 28, 2018. She was 81.
Born in Normanby Township on December 3, 1936, to the late John and Pauline (nee Fritz) Becker. Marie was a former member of the Durham Rebekah Lodge, and Sunnyview Women’s Institute. Marie and her husband Howard farmed until retirement, and Marie also worked 28 years as bus driver for Kunkels in Hanover.
Loved mother of Larry McRonald of Chatsworth, Susan (Keith) Pfeffer of RR3 Ayton, and Allen (Cathy) McRonald of RR1 Hanover. Dearly missed by her grandchildren Michael (Michelle), Mark (Paige), Brent (Ashleigh), Kaitlyn (Sandy), Kyle (Chantel), Heather and Jared, as well as great grandchildren Andrew, Emily, Ellis, Taylor, Bryson, Hayleigh, Silas, Kaleb, and Everett. Fondly remembered by sisters Ruth (Paul) Pfeffer of Hanover, and Betty (Bruce) Dinniwell of Barrie. Predeceased by her husband Howard, daughter Donna McRonald, great grandson Owen Pfeffer, and brothers Harvey, Earl (Mildred) and Arno Becker.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Monday, July 2, 2018, from 1-4 pm, where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11:00 am. Pastor John Graham officiating Interment in Durham Cemetery, Durham.
Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church – Desboro, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca
