On December 15, 2017, Marie of Edmonton passed away at the age of 104 years.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Eileen; grandson David (Laurie); great-granddaughters, Marie (Nigel) Whitehead and Adison Fairbrother; great-grandson Carter Fairbrother; grandson-in-law Jim Jensen; and extended family.
Marie was predeceased by her husband, Bert; son Donald; granddaughter Diane Jensen; and sister Bessie.
Our family thanks everyone for their love, support and prayers. A special thanks to the staff at the Dr. Gerald Zetter Care Center for their compassion and care they showed her during the six years she was there. Thank you also to Reverend Jonathan Crane for the many visits he made to Marie.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Anglican Church, 6110 Fulton Road, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Augustine of Canterbury Anglican Church or to a charity of your choice.
