Maria Jane Janes
September 14, 1931 – September 15, 2018
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Maria Jane Janes (nee Bragg) slipped away quietly surrounded by her family by her side at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Saturday, September 15th, 2018 at the age of 87 years. Born in Woodville, NL, Maria was the daughter of the late John Kenneth and Pearl Bragg (nee Smith). She was also predeceased by her infant baby boy; baby boy Edgar; daughters Alice May, Sheila; brothers Edgar Bragg, Henry Bragg; brother-in-law Felix Dollimont; grandson Brent Janes; nephew David Dollimont and niece Wendy Ann Chislette.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons James (Lorraine) Janes of Toronto, Ont, Darcey (Madonna) Janes of Kitimat, BC, George Clement Janes of Codroy, NL, John Kenneth Janes of Brampton, Ont, Robert (Rhonda-Lee) Janes of Alma, NB, Donald (Eugene) Janes of West River, NB; daughter Dianne Donaldson (Gerard Dwyer) of St. John’s, NL; son-in-law Bernard (Adeline) Luedee of Lock Lomond, NL; sister-in-law Margaret Bragg of West Port, Ont, Elaine Bragg of BC; sister Mildred Dollimont of Timmins, Ont; nine grandchildren Tracey Fowlow, Gwen (Craig) Stevens, Kris Janes, Joshua Janes (Caz Kennedy), Gregory Janes, Keisha Lynn Lomond, George (Kathleen) Donaldson, James Donaldson (Jennie Haggie), Walter Donaldson; six great-grandchildren Cole Stevens, Jaxson Stevens, Gavin Fowlow, Storm Fowlow, Lincoln Donaldson, Lydia Donaldson, plus a large circle of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 16th, 2018 from 7-9 pm and continuing on Monday, September 17th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Codroy, NL. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 18th, 2018 at 2 pm from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Codroy, NL officiated by Rev. Clayton Billard with interment to follow at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Codroy, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations can be made to the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre Long Term Care Facility.
